Dari & David Michael
When Dari and David spent the summer of 2008 playing music in Denmark and Sweden, they brought a small, 26-stringed Celtic harp and a bowed-psaltery which they played daily in the walking streets and in castles.

The week they returned home to Port Townsend, they marched straight into the studio and recorded the very tight set they'd been playing all summer. Adding hammered-dulcimer to round out the sound, this lovely music is evocative of days long gone. Let these lyrical melodies sweep you away to medieval times....

This is the 22nd CD of original music produced by David Michael and the second duo album with his wife Dari. (If you liked their first one CHANTILLY MAE, you'll love this one too for its simplicity).

David Michael: Celtic harp, hammered dulcimer
Dari Michael: bowed psaltery, hammered dulcimer

Intriguing, entrancing music ... perfectly captures the qualities that I love within this genre... They capture, with excellent musicianship, echoes of the Renaissance, the Baroque, and of Celtic harpestry. Think Turlough O'Carolan meets Ludovico Einaudi. Perfect for any time you wish to relax and immerse yourself in twelve rich and elegant original compositions.
